NEO Group Outings are led by volunteer members who enjoy meeting other members, walking the earth, and finding inspiration to help protect it.
When John Muir founded the Sierra Club, he started by taking people on outings to inspire them to work toward preserving wild places. We live in different times, but still need inspiration.
Local outings do have a lot of support from the Club on a national level. A very useful newsletter and a Handbook for Leaders exists to help people organize outings.
