Central Ohio Sierra Club Seeks New
Treasurer
This is an excellent opportunity
for someone looking to add a leadership or financial
position to their resume.
It’s not as hard as it might
sound! You don’t have to hold a degree in accounting, be
a business major or be a member of the Executive
Committee! The Treasurer’s duties have been vastly
simplified through the recent implementation of
QuickBooks software, which requires only simple inputs
to produce accurate reporting. To be effective in this
position, you need to be responsible, organized and not
afraid of numbers.
The primary responsibility of the
treasurer is to maintain the group’s account by
completing a small number of transactions each month
that are mostly limited to simple deposits and paying
bills or reimbursements. Additional duties include
reporting the Group’s financial status to the Executive
Committee once a month and completing a yearly financial
report by following an electronic template provided by
the Sierra Club.
This position would also be a
great fit for any detailed, committed person who cares
about the environment and wants to make a difference!
